Pakistan Reaffirms Unwavering Support for Saudi Arabia; PM Urges Houthis to Halt Attacks

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned Houthi militia missile attacks on Saudi Arabia, calling for an immediate halt to the attacks and reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kingdom’s defence.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, Shehbaz Sharif expressed sorrow over the attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Abha International Airport, extending condolences over the loss of lives. He also praised the alertness and professionalism demonstrated by Saudi forces and allied troops.

The prime minister reaffirmed that Pakistan stands with Saudi Arabia under the mutual defence agreement. He reiterated Pakistan’s firm commitment to safeguarding the Kingdom’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and security, stressing that Saudi Arabia has every right to defend its citizens, cities and critical infrastructure.
