LAHORE: The medical board meeting to review the latest medical reports of former premier Nawaz Sharif will be held today.
As per reports, the medical board will send its recommendations to the Home Department on the basis of the case study so that the Home Department would decide the extension in Nawaz Sharif’s bail on the basis of his medicals report.
Nawaz Sharif has been residing in London after the Lahore High Court granted him bail on medical grounds on 16th November 2019. He earlier in January filed a plea over the extension in his bail.
But recently on Monday, Nawaz Sharif’s photo of dining with his family at a London restaurant surfaced on social media. It also raised the question for the Sharif family that Nawaz was really sick or he was feigning illness to avoid prison.
Prime Minister Imran Khan also took notice of a photo of him eating dinner at a London restaurant and asked Health Minister Punjab Dr. Yasmin Rashid to send his medical reports.
On the other hand, spokesperson of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Marriyum Aurangzeb hit back at criticism by the incumbent government over the medical reports of Nawaz Sharif and warned Imran Khan to refrain from doing politics over former premier’s health.
