More complaints have surfaced against Imtiaz Superstore, located in the Defence area of Karachi, following a troubling incident involving a man named Samuel a few days ago.
Samuel swallowed an earring that was found in a sandwich he bought from the store on August 17. The store management did not provide any assistance or treatment for the victim, who is now undergoing treatment at his own expense. The doctor has recommended an endoscopy if the earring does not pass naturally.

Samuel purchased the sandwich from the Imtiaz Superstore near the Qayyumabad limits of Korangi Industrial Police Station. While eating the sandwich in the store, he was injured when the earring became lodged in his jaw, and the glass beads from the earring went down his throat. An X-ray at the hospital revealed glass fragments in his body.
The superstore administration had stated on Saturday that they would provide full cooperation regarding the treatment of the young man and investigate the incident. However, Samuel has not yet been contacted by the administration, and Umeer Jadoun, a representative of the store, has not responded to phone calls or text messages.
Following the incident, the news went viral on social media, leading many users to complain about the substandard food items at the store. Previously, the Sindh Food Authority had also fined the store for selling substandard items, as reported by Daily Jang Karachi.
In addition to these issues, there have been reports of fraud involving Imtiaz Super Store. Consumers have complained about misleading information regarding the weight and quality of items. A video on YouTube highlights these concerns.
Evidence regarding the incident with Samuel has been provided to the Sindh Food Authority, which has vowed to take action after an initial investigation.
