Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, disclosed the formation of a restructured national selection committee consisting of seven members on Sunday.
Addressing the media in Lahore, Naqvi declared that the committee would operate without a chairman, granting equal authority to all seven members.
Emphasizing the importance of collective decision-making, Naqvi stated that only decisions supported by a majority vote would be implemented. He underscored that the committee’s formation took into account various factors crucial for its effective functioning.
The revamped selection committee will feature former cricketers Mohammad Yousuf, Wahab Riaz, Abdul Razzaq, and Asad Shafiq, alongside the head coach, captain, and analyst.
Furthermore, Naqvi clarified that while two to three coordinators would be appointed, they would not wield voting privileges.
“The decisions henceforth will be exclusively made by this committee. They are pivotal members of our management team, entrusted with the responsibility to drive outcomes, and I am confident in their ability to deliver,” remarked the PCB chairman.
Earlier on Sunday, PCB had dissolved the old committee.
