The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the timetable for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 set to be held in Bangladesh from October 3 onwards.
Group A features Pakistan alongside Australia, who have clinched the title six times, traditional rivals India, New Zealand, and a team yet to secure qualification.
The ninth iteration of the Women’s T20 World Cup will commence on October 3 with a match between England and South Africa in Dhaka.
During the group stage, each team will participate in four matches. Following this phase, the top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals, slated for October 17th and 18th. The victorious teams in the semis will then vie for the championship on October 20 in Dhaka.
Across Dhaka and Sylhet, a total of 23 matches are scheduled over a span of 19 days. Contingency plans are in place with reserve days allocated for the semi-finals and final, should they be required.
