KARACHI: Pakistani women cricketers are set to attend a fitness camp at Kakul Academy for the first time in history.
According to a PCB official, the Women in Green will undergo fitness training at the Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul, following their disappointing performance in the T20 and ODI series against the West Indies.
Reports indicate that at least 15 women cricketers will participate in a month-long program focusing on fitness and skill development starting in July of this year.
This marks the first occasion where women cricketers will receive physical training at a military academy.
In recent events, the Windies women dominated the ODI series with a 3-0 victory, securing three wins out of the 5 T20I matches.
Last month, players of the Pakistan National Team, including Captain Babar Azam, attended a two-week-long physical training session at Kakul Academy under army trainers. Upon completion, the players expressed the significance of the training for their physical fitness and anticipated improvements in their on-field performance.
