LAHORE: Ailing former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has departed for London on Tuesday in an air ambulance for medical treatment.
Nawaz Sharif is accompanied by Shehbaz Sharif and personal physician Doctor Adnan Khan.

Doctors conducted a detailed examination of Nawaz and cleared him for traveling abroad after meeting among themselves.
Earlier today, an ambulance has arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore from Doha. An intensive care unit (ICU) and an operation theatre have also been set up in the air ambulance.

On November 16, the LHC allowed Nawaz to travel abroad for medical treatment without having to sign the indemnity bond suggested by the federal government.
Nawaz on Saturday was allowed by the Lahore High Court (LHC) to travel abroad by turning down the government conditions.

On 13th November, the government agreed to let Nawaz travel abroad for medical treatment, for a four-week period, provided that he submits a surety bond worth Rs7 billion. However, Nawaz rejected the government’s conditional offer to travel abroad.
