LAHORE: The Punjab Police has ordered large-scale transfers and postings of 15 senior officers in a bid to improve administrative and departmental efficiency, with an official notification issued by the Central Police Office (CPO) on Tuesday.
According to details available with MM News, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab has transferred and posted 15 senior officers, including SSPs and SPs, across the province. The CPO has issued a formal notification detailing the reshuffle.
As per the notification, Muhammad Sarfraz Work has been appointed as AIG Operations at CPO Lahore, while Zahid Nawaz has been transferred from AIG Operations, CPO Lahore, and posted as SSP, Police School of Intelligence, Lahore.
Similarly, Jahandad Akram has been moved from SP CCD-III, Capital City Lahore, to SP CCD, DG Khan Region. Adil Aamir has been transferred from SP CCD, DG Khan Region, and directed to report to CPO Lahore.
Saad Afidi has been posted as SP Investigation, Nankana Sahib. Shaukat Ali Shaikh has been transferred from SP Investigation, Nankana Sahib, to Additional Director Central-I, SPU Lahore. Muhammad Noman Zafar has been appointed as Additional SP, Saddar Division, Multan.
Muhammad Munir Badr has been moved from Additional SP, Saddar Division, Multan, to SP Investigation, Lodhran, while Zafar Javed Malik has been posted as SP Operations, DIC-III, Okara.
Razaullah Khan has been transferred from SP Operations, DIC-III, Attock and Hassanabdal, to SP Operations, DIC-III, Jhang. He will also hold additional charge of SSP Operations, IC-III, Faisalabad Region.
In other changes, Muhammad Essa Khan has been appointed Deputy Director Administration, Elite Police Force, Lahore. Hassan Afzal has been transferred from Deputy Director Administration, Elite Police Force, Lahore, and directed to report to CPO.
Hassan Raza has been moved from SP RIB, Bahawalpur Region, to SSP RIB, Multan Region. Farrukh Javed has been transferred from Battalion Commander-III, PC Multan, to SP Investigation, Bahawalpur. Syed Jamshed Ali has been shifted from SP Investigation, Bahawalpur, to Battalion Commander-III, PC Multan.
Sources claimed that the reshuffle is aimed at improving the law and order situation across Punjab and streamlining field operations. All officers have been directed to assume charge of their new posts immediately.
