LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has issued a stay order against provincial government for turning former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar’s residence into a shelter home.
During the LHC hearing, the restraining order was issued to the government a reply was also inquired from it within ten days.
The move came after the petition was filed by Ishaq Dar in which he requested the court that the act by the Punjab government was unconstitutional.
The former finance minister also pleaded that he was being subjected to political revenge.
He further stated that the government also violated the Islamabad High Court (IHC) order.

Earlier news was published that Dar’s house had been turned into a shelter home in Lahore. His house was transferred into a house by the Social Welfare Department.
His house was seized in July last year by the district administration. A team, which was headed by the Model Town assistant commissioner, reached the residence to check it and ordered all the people inside to vacate it immediately.
