A woman allegedly killed her minor stepdaughter in the Green Town area, Lahore.
As per local media reports, the stepmother, identified as Nazia, confessed during interrogation that she killed the young girl, Fatima, during what she described as “spiritual rituals.”
According to the authorities, the accused woman, along with her husband, took the child to a hospital in an apparent attempt to cover up the crime. However, inconsistencies in their statements raised suspicions, prompting police to take both individuals into custody for further investigation.
Initial findings suggest that the girl had been subjected to severe physical abuse prior to her death.
A medical examination revealed multiple signs of torture on her body, confirming fears of prolonged violence.
Police investigators said the brutality inflicted on the child indicated deliberate harm rather than an accident.
The accused reportedly claimed that black magic and supernatural forces compelled her to harm the child.
Local media reported, citing police sources, that the victim’s biological mother had previously been divorced by the father, identified as Ashfaq.
