The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced a significant aid package for deserving families in the province.
Under the Ramadan package, each deserving family will receive Rs. 10,000 to help them cope with the financial challenges during the holy month.
The provincial cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, approved the aid package along with several other initiatives. The government also decided to revive the Youth Endowment Fund with a grant of Rs. 100 million.
Additionally, the cabinet approved an increase in the fixed pay package for the chairman and members of the FATA Tribunal.
The government also allocated Rs. 1212.9 million for the treatment of hemophilia patients in the province.
The provincial government has also established a debt management fund to pay off its liabilities, with Rs. 30 billion already deposited into the fund. Furthermore, the government approved a Rs. 80 million grant for the Cadet College in Mamad Gat (Mohmand).
The announcements were made during a provincial cabinet meeting, where the government also reviewed its financial performance. The meeting was informed that the province had achieved a record 49% increase in its revenue during the past year, with a surplus budget of Rs. 169 billion.
