Karachi: Street crime continues to fuel fear among citizens in Karachi, with another robbery reported on Shahrah-e-Bhutto in broad daylight, where armed robbers allegedly set up a roadblock and looted citizens.

According to reports, the armed suspects held citizens at gunpoint and snatched cash, mobile phones and other valuables before fleeing the scene. The daylight robbery has raised fresh concerns over the security situation in the city and the effectiveness of law enforcement measures.

It is worth noting that in April this year, armed robbers also targeted a trader on Shahrah-e-Bhutto and looted Rs2.5 million. According to the trader, the suspects took a bag containing the cash from the vehicle’s footboard and assaulted him with the butt of a firearm when he resisted.
