KARACHI: The residents of the metropolis woke up to partly cloudy skies and light drizzle on Friday, April 3, as a westerly wind system continues to influence weather patterns across the region.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, while scattered thundershowers and isolated hail were reported in several areas overnight — including Orangi Town, Baldia Town, North Nazimabad, and Liaquatabad — there is no likelihood of heavy rainfall in the city today.
Power outages were reported in multiple localities following last night’s storms, particularly in Chishti Nagar, Saeedabad, and Movach Goth.

Areas such as II Chandrigar Road, Saddar, Burns Road, Garden, Surjani Town, and Shahrah-e-Pakistan also saw light rain accompanied by thunder. The current weather system is expected to persist across other parts of the country until Saturday, April 4.
Residents have again been advised to stay updated via local weather alerts and exercise caution during travel, especially in low-lying or flood-prone areas. No major disruptions are anticipated for the day, but intermittent showers may continue into the evening.
