QUETTA: Weather conditions have taken a sudden turn across various parts of Balochistan, bringing an end to the spell of intense summer heat and marking the onset of cooler weather.
In particular, the morning and evening breezes in Quetta, Kalat, Mastung and Nushki have brought a noticeable chill to the atmosphere, making the weather more pleasant for residents.
The first signs of winter have already been felt in Kalat, where temperatures have dropped to around 10 degrees Celsius. A spell of cold winds has maintained the chill even during daytime hours, prompting local residents to turn to warm clothing.
Markets See Increased Demand for Warm Clothing
As weather conditions continue to change rapidly, residents have begun switching their wardrobes for the cooler season. Markets are witnessing increased activity, with shoppers showing growing interest in warm shawls, coats, sweaters and other winter clothing.
Stalls and shops selling warm garments have started attracting a greater number of customers as people prepare for the colder days ahead.
Weather Department Issues Fresh Forecast
According to weather experts, a spell of Siberian winds is moving into the upper and mountainous regions of Balochistan. Under its influence, temperatures are expected to decline further over the coming days, with particularly strong and cold winds likely in Kalat and surrounding areas.
The weather department further noted that with the traditional summer season drawing to a close, signs of autumn have become increasingly evident. In the plains as well as mountainous areas of the province, nights have turned cooler, while mornings and evenings are being felt as particularly chilly.
The changing weather conditions are being seen as an indication of the approaching winter season.
