K-Electric issues feeder-wise maintenance schedule for July 25

Karachi: K-Electric (KE) has announced a citywide scheduled maintenance shutdown that will affect dozens of feeders across Karachi on Saturday, July 25, 2026, with electricity supply set to remain suspended for several hours in multiple residential, commercial, and industrial areas.

According to the maintenance schedule issued by the power utility, the shutdown will begin as early as 7:54 a.m. in some locations and continue until 7:59 p.m. in others, depending on the feeder. Most areas are expected to experience outages between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

The planned shutdown will impact a wide range of feeders, including 3H RMU, 5th Tariq Commercial S/S-34, Ayan Food, Bahawalpur Engineering, Balouch Hotel, Bismillah Tower, Boat View, Bus Terminal, Check Post-5, Chishtia Flour, Creek Club, Degesh Feeder, Dow University, Embassy Villa, EOBI, Faysal Garment, Football Ground, General Soap, Gulshan-e-Ameen Tower, Ibrahim Nafees RMU (Ex Bagh-e-Malir), Independent News, Itrat Hussain, Jhanjar Goth, Jivani Traders RMU, Karaka Pak, KDA Employee Society, KH-e-Abbasi, Kiran Arcade (Pole-19), Korangi Telephone Exchange-02, Malir Wireless, Maraqba Hall, Mehran Tower, Naseem Textile, Nazimabad-4, Ojha Sanitorium, Paracha Textile, PARCO-III, PERAC, Pyramid Plaza, Rasheedia Masjid RMU, Rauf Textile, Relax Apartment, Resala Police, Rimpa Sky, S.M. Obaid, Saba Cinema, Sector-G, Sehar Palace, Shadman Town, Shaista Builder, Standard Rolling, Talha Cottages, Training Center, Treatment Plant, and Trimax Hospital (Old Comp School).

The utility said the maintenance work is part of its routine efforts to strengthen the electricity distribution network, improve system reliability, and minimize the risk of unplanned outages. KE stated that power supply will be restored to each feeder immediately after the completion of maintenance activities.

Residents and businesses in the affected areas have been advised to make necessary arrangements in advance, particularly those relying on uninterrupted electricity for commercial operations, healthcare services, or other essential activities. Consumers are also encouraged to exercise caution while using backup power systems during the scheduled outage.

KE regularly carries out planned maintenance across its network to ensure the safe and efficient operation of its infrastructure. Customers can access feeder-specific outage schedules and updates through the utility’s official communication channels.
