Karachi: K-Electric has announced temporary power outages in various parts of the city on 1 July 2026 due to scheduled maintenance work.
According to the utility, electricity supply will remain suspended in dozens of localities for varying durations, with most outages scheduled between 8:00am and 6:00pm. Some feeders will experience interruptions until 6:30pm, while others are expected to be restored earlier in the afternoon.
The affected areas include Al-Burhan, Ali Doulat, Amber Garments, Green Park City, Grey Heights, Gulshan Gulshan, Gulshan-e-Zubaida, Hafiz Sweets, KCHS-D, King Residency, Ladies Park, Makkah Square (Johar Road), Meerut Society, Navy Merchant CHS, New Kumharwara, Northern Bypass, Pakistan Bazar, People Foundation, Quetta Town, Shadman Town, Shrin Jinnah, Steelex, Surti Muslim CHS, Talha Qazi RMU, Usman Terrace and Walk Way, among several others.

KE has advised residents in the affected neighbourhoods to plan their activities accordingly and take necessary precautions during the scheduled maintenance period.
The utility regularly carries out planned maintenance on its transmission and distribution network to enhance system performance, reduce unplanned outages and ensure a more reliable electricity supply.
