Acting President and Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has launched the Senate of Pakistan’s mobile application, describing the initiative as a major step towards the Senate’s digital transformation, improved institutional efficiency, and timely public access to parliamentary information.
According to Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, the application will help save time, speed up parliamentary work, and reduce unnecessary administrative procedures, while also strengthening the connection between Parliament and the public. He urged senators to make full use of the new technology.
Acting Chairman of the Senate Syedaal Khan Nasar and Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhary also described the launch as an important step towards modernising the parliamentary system.
Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunications Shaza Fatima Khawaja said digitalisation was no longer confined to the IT sector but had become an essential part of governance and various other areas of life.
According to Senate officials, the mobile application, developed by the Senate’s IT Department, will facilitate faster access to parliamentary information and help align the Senate’s working procedures with modern digital requirements.
