A notification is circulating on social media regarding a public holiday in Karachi tomorrow due to a strike in the city against Israeli attacks on Gaza.
However, this notification is fake, and the office of the Commissioner Karachi has denied it.
It should be noted that Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), along with the traders of Karachi, has announced a complete strike on November 26 in Karachi against Israeli attacks on Gaza.
All the traders’ organizations of Karachi had supported the strike on April 26, due to which business activities in Karachi will likely to remain completely suspended tomorrow.
In view of the strike a fake notification gone viral on social media, stating “all government and private offices, educational institutions, and other institutions in the city will remain closed on April 26. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the convenience of the citizens and the law and order situation amid the strike.”
However, the office of the Commissioner Karachi has denied this notification and termed it as fake.
