      ISLAMABAD: News regarding chairman FBR’s resignation has been circulating, while Shibir Zaidi announced that he has not resigned as chairman, however, the internal story of the matter has come out. 
      According to sources, Chairman FBR Shabar Zaidi telephoned Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday (today) during which he complained that the staff of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) was not cooperating with him in official matters.

      Speaking to Imran Khan during a telephonic conversation, Chairman FBR said that he could not continue his services as Chairman, adding that tax shortfall and losses are beyond his understanding.
      During the communication, Shabbar Zaidi said circular debt and tax targets could not meet due to non-cooperation of the FBR team, hence I want to resign from my services, sources added.
      Sources in this regard said that Chairman FBR Shabbar Zaidi also complained to the Imran Khan about his powers, however, he has not yet formally submitted his resignation to the Prime Minister.
