Saheefa Jabbar Khattak, a model-turned-actor, has faced backlash online after criticizing her domestic worker, Musarrat, in an Instagram post.
Khattak expressed dissatisfaction with how Musarrat spent Rs50,000, sparking widespread criticism for her remarks.
In her post, Khattak claimed that Musarrat had “wasted” the money within two days by purchasing Eid clothes and a bicycle for her children.

She argued that she should have made the purchases herself, suggesting she would have opted for thrift shopping or budget-friendly options like Liberty Market and stitched fabrics. Khattak also shared personal details about Musarrat’s living conditions, including her bathroom, leaky roof, and her children’s needs, without her consent.
Many pointed out that the post was written in a language Musarrat likely does not understand.

The post, widely deemed tone-deaf, ignited outrage on social media. Critics accused Khattak of publicly shaming her house help and failing to respect her dignity.
One user commented, “Writing an essay on Instagram shaming an uneducated woman in a language she cannot even read, to millions of people, BY NAME.” Another questioned, “Why are the poor held to such insane standards?” Others highlighted the glaring class disconnect in Khattak’s remarks.
The controversy has sparked a broader conversation about privilege, dignity, and the ethics of sharing personal grievances on public platforms.
