In Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Hadeed area, the staff of the People’s Bus Service and citizens present at the scene were looted. Armed criminals continued to rob unarmed citizens and staff, while the police have started an investigation into the incident.
According to details, a robbery took place at the People’s Bus Service stop in Gulshan-e-Hadeed. The local police stated that 4 to 5 armed criminals arrived in a car and carried out the robbery.
The police further stated that a case is being registered against the suspects. At the bus stop in Gulshan-e-Hadeed, the robbers looted Rs. 500,000 from the staff and also took away a weapon from the security guard.
The criminals also robbed citizens present there, snatching mobile phones before fleeing in their car. The police have confirmed that an investigation is underway, and efforts are being made to locate and arrest the suspects.
It is noteworthy that due to the increasing number of commuters, the People’s Bus Service recently raised its fares. The sudden 60% increase in fares has sparked protests among citizens, but the enforcement of the increased fares continues to this day.
