Indian troops martyr four Kashmiri youth in IoK

SRINAGAR: Indian troops in a fresh act of state terrorism martyred four more Kashmiri youth in Shopian district of occupied Kashmir, raising the toll to nine in the past 24 hours.
The youth were killed by the troops during a cordon and search operation in Pinjoora area of the district. Five youth were martyred by the troops in the same area yesterday.
Earlier, three Indian troops were critically injured in a clash in the same area of the district. The authorities also suspended all mobile internet services in the area while the operations were ongoing.
Indian troops continued their cordon and search operations in Srinagar and several other towns and villages of the territory.
Yesterday, Indian troops martyred five Kashmiri youth in Zainapora area of Shopian district of held Kashmir during a cordon and search operation. The operation was jointly launched by Indian Army and police who suspended internet services.
A protest demonstration was held in Srinagar against an attack on a Muslim shrine by Indian forces. Speakers on the occasion said that India was involved in such heinous acts to stoke sectarian division in the territory.
Meanwhile, senior APHC leader and Chairman of Tehreek–e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai said that Kashmiris want the solution to the Kashmir dispute on the basis of the right to self-determination under relevant resolutions of the United Nations.
He stressed the need for keeping the unparalleled sacrifices of the Kashmiris into consideration for any tripartite talks on the Kashmir dispute. He reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue their movement against the military occupation of their motherland by India.
The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement, Mir Shahid Saleem, while addressing a meeting of social and political activists, strongly criticised the anti-Kashmir policies of the fascist Modi government.
