Former wife of Pakistani cricketer Imad Wasim, digital media influencer Sania Ashfaq, has made further serious allegations regarding their marriage, accusing her ex-husband of abusive behaviour, emotional pressure and neglecting their children.
In a new post shared on Instagram, Sania claimed that throughout their marriage she was subjected to severe emotional distress and controlling behaviour.
According to her, Imad Wasim is now unwilling to contribute towards the children’s expenses and has shown no interest in meeting or speaking to them. Despite this, she alleged that he is attempting to obtain custody of the children.
In her statement, Sania wrote that despite everything she and their children had endured, Imad continued to make public statements. She claimed that “the whole world knows” when his relationship with his current wife began and alleged that he betrayed her during her pregnancy. She further stated that his controlling behaviour during that period made her life extremely difficult.

Sania also alleged that in July 2025, Imad Wasim was arrested in the United Kingdom following allegations relating to his behaviour and domestic abuse. She claimed there were concerns that he intended to separate her from their children. She further alleged that members of his family pressured her to withdraw her statement, resulting in social services becoming involved.
She went on to say that social workers had recently asked Imad whether he wished to speak to his children, but he did not respond. According to Sania, he neither wishes to see nor communicate with the children, yet continues to make her life difficult in an effort to have the children handed over to him. She described the situation as deeply painful as a mother and questioned why someone who does not care for their children would choose to have them.
Sania also rejected claims that she had prevented Imad from seeing the children, insisting that this was untrue. She said she would never abandon her children and would continue to protect them under all circumstances. She added that she hoped the public would eventually see his “true character” and understand how she and the children had allegedly been treated.
Meanwhile, Imad Wasim has also responded publicly to the allegations.
In an Instagram Story, he issued what he described as a final warning to Sania Ashfaq. He said that he had divorced her for his own reasons and considered that chapter of his life closed. He also asked her not to concern herself with his life, his wife or his family.
The cricketer further requested that his current wife, Naila Raja, not be dragged into the dispute, stating that she had no connection with the matter and entered his life only after the divorce. He urged Sania to leave the past behind and move on.
Imad also warned his former wife to accept reality and stop what he described as repeated public “drama”, adding that this would be the last time he would respond to the matter publicly.
