Former Pakistani cricketer Imad Wasim has announced his separation from his wife, Sania Ashfaq, citing months of unresolved conflict.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, 28 December, the 37-year-old left-handed all-rounder shared a detailed statement with his fans.
“After much thought, and due to repeated conflicts that could not be resolved over the past few years, I have filed for divorce,” Imad wrote.
He added: “I sincerely request everyone to respect our privacy and avoid using or sharing any old couple photos. Please also refrain from referring to her as my spouse going forward.”

Imad Wasim also urged the public not to believe or circulate false reports and warned that any attempts to defame him or involve others will be addressed legally if necessary.
He affirmed that he remains committed to his role as a father and will continue to care for his children responsibly, thanking followers for their understanding and respect.
Speculation about the couple’s relationship had arisen earlier when Sania Ashfaq announced the birth of her son on social media without mentioning Imad’s name.
