KARACHI: Sindh Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has arrested two officers of the Karachi Development Authority over involvement in illegal allotment of lands.
According to details, accused Muhammad Shahid Additional Director KDA involved in illegal allotment of lands was arrested from Karachi at his office while another accused Sub-Registrar Dev Prakash was arrested from Umerkot.
In this regard, anti-corruption sources informed that the accused persons have sold plots to some people on the basis of fake documents.
FIRs have been registered against them. Sources further informed that the accused also have political patronage, which is being investigated.
In a statement, Provincial Minister for Industries & Commerce and Cooperative Department & Anti-Narcotics Jam Ikramullah Dharejo has praised the performance of the Anti-Corruption Department and hoped that the officers of the department would work in the same spirit to eradicate corruption from Sindh.
He vowed that action would be taken against the corruption mafia at all levels and no institution or person involved in corruption would be spared.
He further said that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had given clear and strict orders to take action against the corruption mafia.
