Federal govt employees to receive salaries before Eid, says PM Shehbaz

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided that federal government employees will receive their salaries before Eid al-Fitr.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, salaries for federal employees will be paid ahead of the Eid holidays.

Federal government departments have received the prime minister’s directives and have begun arrangements to ensure salaries are disbursed before Eid.

For Eid al Fitr 2026, the expected holidays will depend on the sighting of the Shawwal moon, which determines the first day of Eid.

According to early estimates and the public holiday calendar, Eid al Fitr 2026 is expected to fall on Saturday, March 21, 2026 in Pakistan.
