A father and son riding a motorcycle were killed on the spot after being hit by an unknown vehicle near a graveyard on Sparco Road in Baldia Town.
According to details, on Monday morning, two people riding a motorcycle were killed instantly after being struck by an unidentified vehicle near the Mochko police station area, close to the graveyard on Sparco Road, Baldia Town. Their bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital via Chhipa ambulance.
The deceased were identified as 30-year-old Abdul Jabbar, son of Abdul Majeed, and 60-year-old Abdul Majeed, son of Amir Hamza. The father and son, residents of Noor Shah Mohalla in Moach Goth, were workers by profession, the father was a contractor and the son worked as a mason. Both had left home in the morning for work.
According to family members, the younger victim was due to be married next month, and wedding preparations were underway at home. Upon receiving information, police reached the scene, collected evidence, and launched an investigation.
SHO Mochko Sohail Farooq said both victims were father and son and were residents of Noor Goth, Mochko.
Police said that the motorcycle involved in the accident was found in intact condition.
Authorities suspect the motorcycle may have slipped and come under a passing vehicle. After the incident, the vehicle and driver responsible fled the scene, and efforts are underway to trace them. The bodies were handed over to the family after legal formalities at Civil Hospital.
