Banks to remain closed for public dealing on July 1

The State Bank of Pakistan has announced that all banks and financial institutions across the country will remain closed on July 1.

According to the central bank, Wednesday, July 1, will be observed as a bank holiday, due to which all banks will remain closed for public transactions.

The notification further said that development finance institutions and microfinance banks will also remain closed on the holiday.

However, bank employees will continue to attend their offices as usual, while public banking transactions will remain suspended.
