Disabled man appeals for pension along with family in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Wheelchair-bound, former coal mine worker, Gul Jahan alongside his disabled daughter has continuously been appealing to officials for the release of his pension.
Gul, a resident of Bhakkar, who arrived in the Islamabad to seek justice with his two little daughters and wife, said that he worked in a coal mine located in ​​Khushab.

He said one day in an accident at the mine he lost both his legs. Gul Jahan said that he was not compensated for the accident. He contacted his office for compensation, where the officials took all the papers and assured him that his case was being prepared.
He further said that it has been four years but he was still told that if he could bribe them with three lakh rupees, then they could manage to complete his pension documents.
He said, Shabir Awan, who owns a coal mine named Chinote Carlisle, is a relative and partner of Shakar Bashir Awan present MNA of Pakistan Muslim league-N.
