KARACHI: A staffer of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), who was infected with the novel coronavirus, embraced a senior management official for stopping his salary.
According to details, the man identified as Shehzad Anwar, the KMC land assistant director posted in Landhi, was suspended earlier over corruption complaints.
In this regard, Senior HRM Director Jameel Farooqui informed that Shehzad’s salary was stopped after he failed to report to the KMC Human Resource department. “Today, Anwar tried to get close to me by entering the office on a false pretext,” he added.
Officials who were present inside Farooqui’s office said that Anwar hugged the HRM senior director and kissed on his cheek, before greeting others in the administrator’s secretariat.
The suspended officer then revealed that he had tested positive for the deadly virus, which led to a commotion in the KMC head office. Later, Jameel Farooqui informed that he would take legal action against the KMC assistant director.
