ISLAMABAD: The court has handed over Shahnawaz Amir to the police on 2-day physical remand for the crime of killing his wife.
The murder case of journalist Ayaz Amir’s Canadian daughter-in-law Sarah Inam was heard in the District and Sessions Court Islamabad. The police produced Shahnawaz Amir, the husband of the deceased and son of journalist Ayaz Amir, in court.
The lawyer of the accused Shahnawaz Amir said that it is a blind murder and it is only to the extent of the charge, the first remand in the case, to which there is no objection.

The police requested a ten-day physical remand from the court, saying that the accused had to be recovered, he killed his Pakistani-Canadian wife by calling him from abroad.
The police also requested to issue arrest warrants for the main accused’s parents Ayaz Ameer, his wife, uncle, and aunt of the accused. The court approved the arrest warrant application of Ayaz Amir and his wife.
The court rejected Shahnawaz’s request for ten-day physical remand and granted only two-day physical remand. It should be noted that journalist Ayaz Amir’s son Shahnawaz Amir killed his wife Sara yesterday.
