ISLAMABAD: A further 84 people have lost their lives in Pakistan due to the coronavirus and the total death toll has reached 9,164.
According to the National Command and Operations Center, 2,972 new cases were reported in the country and the total number has risen to 451,494. In Pakistan, 399,852 coronavirus patients have recovered and 42,478 are undergoing treatment.
The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus is in Punjab where 3,522 people have lost their lives while 3,270 in Sindh, 1,511 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 385 in Islamabad, 99 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 177 in Balochistan and Azad Kashmir. 200 people have lost their lives.
The number of coronavirus cases in Islamabad is 35,700, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 52,041, Sindh 211,080, Punjab 130,122, Balochistan 17,868, Azad Kashmir 7,893 and Gilgit-Baltistan 4,810 people have been affected by corona.

The rate of positive cases across the country has reached 7.59 percent. In Hyderabad, the rate of coronavirus positive cases is highest at 24.59 percent.
In Karachi, coronavirus positive cases rate is 17.71 percent, Rawalpindi 17.21 percent, Azad Jammu and Kashmir 9.30 percent, Balochistan 7.59 percent, Gilgit-Baltistan 1.63 percent, and Islamabad 3.6 percent.
According to the NCOC, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has 8.66 percent, Sindh 10.69 percent, Lahore 8.08 percent, Faisalabad 3.79 percent, Multan 3.40 percent, Peshawar 9.28 percent, Swat 6.96 percent, Abbottabad 14.49 percent, Quetta 5.65 percent, Mirpur 8.08 percent and Muzaffarabad 13.57 percent.
