A convoy of 120 vehicles carrying relief goods has safely reached Parachinar.
Reports regarding gunfire directed at the convoy en route to Parachinar have been confirmed as inaccurate.
The Regional Police Officer (RPO) of Kohat, Abbas Majid Marwat, affirmed that no shots were fired at any of the trucks within the convoy.
The RPO noted that while one or two shots were discharged in the vicinity of Irfani Kaly, none of the trucks in the convoy were targeted. He elaborated that security forces were deployed in Bagan Talo, Kunj Morchas, and surrounding areas, but certain individuals deliberately disseminated misleading information.
The convoy, which comprised 120 vehicles transporting food supplies to Parachinar and various villages in the Kurram District, has arrived safely.
Previously, RPO Abbas Majid Marwat, accompanied by army officials and Commissioner of Kohat Division Mutasim Allah Shah, conducted a visit to the Lower Kurram areas, including Ochat Kaly, Mandori, and Bagan, to evaluate the damages and reinforce peacekeeping measures in the region.
Earlier, a convoy of 100 vehicles loaded with food supplies departed for the Kurram district. According to Deputy Commissioner Hangu, Gohar Zaman, a convoy of 60 vehicles set off from Tal, followed by an additional 40 vehicles.
