ISLAMABAD: The coronavirus has reported another 566 new cases in Pakistan, bringing the total number of patients to 310,841.
According to figures released by the National Command and Operations Center, nine more people have died in the country due to coronavirus and the total number of deaths due to the epidemic has reached 6,466.
During the last 24 hours, 28,887 coronavirus tests were conducted in Pakistan. The number of virus cases in Sindh has reached 136,017. 99,219 cases have been reported in Punjab, 37,701 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,092 in Balochistan, 16,470 in Islamabad, 2,661 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and 3,681 in Gilgit.

The death toll from the coronavirus has risen to 2,231 in Punjab and 2,492 in Sindh, while the number has risen to 1,259 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 181 in Islamabad, 145 in Balochistan, 87 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 71 in Azad Kashmir. ۔
There are facilities for coronavirus patients in 735 hospitals in Pakistan and the number of ventilators for coronavirus patients in hospitals is 1,920. There are 132 testing laboratories operating in the country and trace, test, and quarantine strategies are working effectively in several cities.
Moreover, last week, as many as six teachers and one lecturer have tested positive for COVID-19 in Charsadda and Karak. One male and two female teachers of three government schools and a lecturer of the girls’ degree college tested positive for coronavirus.
