KARACHI: After couple of days’ rains, chilly weather hit Karachi as temperatures hovering around 11 degrees Celsius.
The PMD indicates partially cloudy conditions in Karachi over the next 24 hours.
The recorded lowest temperature is 11°C, with a humidity level of 66%, and northeast winds blowing at a speed of 20 kilometres per hour.
Residents of Karachi should expect temperatures ranging from 10 to 12 degrees Celsius, with the potential for maximum temperatures reaching 22 to 24 degrees Celsius in the coming hours.
Recent weather conditions in Karachi and other cities of Sindh have been marked by a cold spell accompanied by rain and hailstorms.
Various parts of the metropolis, including Gulshan Iqbal and Gulistan Johar, experienced heavy rainfall, while II Chundrigar Road, Saddar, Old City Area, Defence, Clifton, and nearby areas encountered light drizzles.
The adverse weather conditions resulted in power outages in some areas. Hyderabad and its vicinity witnessed cloudy weather throughout the day, with reports of both light and heavy rainfall in Latifabad, Jamshoro, and Thana Bula Khan. Additionally, Tharparkar, Umarkot, Badin, and Mirpurkhas are anticipated to receive rainfall accompanied by gusty winds.
