ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has predicted dry weather in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours, while there is a possibility of strong winds/storms in the southern regions.
Weather is likely to remain partly cloudy with thundershowers at a few places over Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas. During the last 24 hours, Kashmir, Upper/Central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan received rain with thunder and lightning.
Elsewhere in the country, the weather remained hot and dry. Mithi was the hottest place in the country on Tuesday with temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain hot in Karachi today while it will be partly cloudy and strong winds. The minimum temperature was recorded in Karachi today at 27 degrees while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 40 degrees.
Two days ago, the mercury rose to 39.5 degrees in Karachi and the Meteorological Department issued a partial heatwave warning, while the weather is expected to remain hot in Karachi today and citizens have been advised to be cautious.
