ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb has claimed that bogus treason cases are being framed against party leaders.

Talking to media in Islamabad, Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the government could not prove the allegations of corruption and therefore treason cases were being framed. The time has come for the incumbent government to go home, she said.

Maryam Aurangzeb claimed that Badar Bashir, the plaintiff in the treason case, had been made a missing person. She said that instead of responding to the issue of foreign funding by the PTI party, the Election Commission is being threatened. “The revelations of former DG FIA Bashir Memon have exposed the NAB, ” she added.

Aurangzeb called the prime minister a fascist and also demanded a treason case against him. She also claimed that PM Imran Khan asked his party spokespersons to build an Indian agent narrative against Nawaz Sharif.

Chairman NAB was used by the government and after failing to prove any allegation, the government has resorted to treason cases against the opposition, she added. The PML-N leader said that PM Imran asked Bashir Memon to register a case against Khawaja Asif under article 6 and after the refusal of former DG FIA, NAB swung into action.
