ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the regulatory authorities are playing a key role in protecting the rights of the people and authorities should also play their role against cartels and mafias.
Presiding over a meeting of heads of regulatory authorities, the prime minister said that regulators must safeguard the public interest by ensuring effective monitoring and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
The prime minister emphasized the effective role of regulatory authorities in monitoring cartels and mafias. He directed all regulators to ensure quality and fair delivery of services for the development of the sectors they are regulating.

Meanwhile, while presiding over the first meeting of the Advisory Board of the National Rehmat-ul-Alameen Authority in Islamabad, the prime minister said that the Rehmat-ul-Alameen Authority would help in putting into practice the teachings and biography of the Holy Prophet Muhammad Khatam-un-Nabiyyin.
He said that the aim of the authority was to create awareness among the youth about the biography of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) so that they could follow it.
