SUKKUR: An accountability court has extended the physical remand of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Syed Khursheed Shah by six days in Assets Case.
Other party leaders Nafeesa Shah, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Maula Bux Chandio, Manzoor Wassan, Awais Qadir Shah and others were present at the accountability court premises before the hearing.
The security arrangements were tightened up outside the building of the accountability court.
He was presented by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials before the court and sought an extension in his physical remand.
Earlier on 1st October, Khurshid Shah was remanded into NAB custody for 13 days. On 18th September, the NAB arrested Khursheed Shah.
Shah is facing charges of making assets amounting to Rs500 billion through illicit means.
According to the document and it further reveals that Glamour Bungalow, Junejo Flour Mills, Mukesh Flour Mills including 83 other properties were made under Shah’s frontman, Pehlaj Rai.
NAB’s probe further unearthed as many as 105 bank accounts associated with Khursheed Shah and his family.
The charge sheet states that Shah had accumulated property including petrol pumps and bungalows on the names of frontman and Benami organizations.
