PTI launches digital library, free wifi in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
PESHAWAR: The Department of Science and Information Technology of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday launched a digital library with a free wifi facility to help youth keep pace with the fast-changing technology.
Provincial Finance Minister Taimur Saleem Khan Jigra along with Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Science and Information Technology Kamran Bangash inaugurated the project.
While talking to media, Mr. Bangash revealed that the wifi service is being given under the connect project of KP which costs around Rs. 94 million.
He further added that the government is planning to provide masses with free internet service at public places and visitors at historic spots can also avail the free wifi service.
On the occasion, the finance minister also said that digitization initiatives in KP are necessary as they will let the people cope with fast-pace 21t century requirements.
