KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Thursday stated that another cyclonic storm ‘Maha’ is building up in the Arabian Sea.
This development comes just after the threat of cyclonic storm Kyarr no longer rises over any of Pakistan’s coastal areas.

According to the PMD, Maha is very far from the northern Arabian Sea, approximately 1,600km away.
PMD Director Sardar Sarfaraz, “Right now, there is no risk from the storm, and we will get to know about its intensity in the next four to five days.”

The PMD has also forecast light rain for Karachi on Thursday night and Friday.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Kyarr cyclone hit the coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan. Water entered inside homes in Hub.
Seawater also created a hurdle for the residents of Baba Bhat Island and Bhatta Village. The lower Sindh and Makran are expected to receive rainfall from 29th to 30th October.
