Lahore-based stage actor Mahnoor has accused Sargodha District Police Officer (DPO) Dr. Asad Ijaz Malhi of rape, sexual assault, and issuing death threats.
The actress, who is also a Canadian citizen, formally lodged a complaint with Punjab Inspector General (IG) Dr. Usman Anwar, Daily Pakistan reported on Sunday.
In her complaint, Mahnoor alleges that the senior police officer sexually assaulted her at gunpoint at the DPO’s residence. She claims she was summoned there under the pretext of recovering Rs. 60 million allegedly seized by police.
According to Mahnoor, the officer’s operator contacted her, offering assistance, but instead led her to the DPO’s house, where she was subjected to abuse.
The actress further alleges that the DPO recorded explicit videos of her during the assault and threatened her with death.
She expressed fears of being blackmailed with these recordings and being falsely implicated in legal cases. Mahnoor also revealed that she had contacted the Canadian embassy, seeking intervention and justice.
