3 ATF personnel injured in attack on Balochistan minister Longau’s convoy

QUETTA: Unknown armed assailants opened fire on a security squad of Balochistan Interior Minister Mir Ziaullah Longau near Khad Kucha Garu along the N-25 highway, according to initial reports from the provincial area.

The attack reportedly involved a group of unidentified gunmen targeting the minister’s personnel.

As a result, three members of the ATF were injured and received immediate medical attention before being shifted to Quetta. Officials said the injured personnel are currently out of danger.

Minister Mir Ziaullah Longau, who was present in the vicinity, remained safe, the reports added.

MM News has learnt that security forces have been deployed to the area as authorities begin investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and attempting to identify those responsible.

Local law enforcement agencies are expected to review available evidence and other leads from the route to determine the motive and whether the attack was part of a wider pattern of violence in the region.
