QUETTA: Domestic train operations from Quetta have been temporarily halted for two days to facilitate essential repair and maintenance work on the railway tracks, leaving passengers facing significant disruptions.

According to railway officials, the Peshawar-bound Jaffar Express did not depart from Quetta today, Friday, with all train services set to remain completely suspended on August 14 and 15.

The Jaffar Express, arriving from Peshawar, has also been restricted to Jacobabad as part of the temporary adjustments.

The railway administration stated that the suspension is a precautionary measure to ensure safe and uninterrupted travel once services resume.

Authorities are currently reviewing alternative arrangements to mitigate the inconvenience caused to passengers. Train operations are expected to resume as usual immediately after the completion of the repair work.

Passengers are advised to check for updates from railway authorities before planning their journeys.
