KARACHI: Spokesman for the Sindh Government Barrister Murtaza Wahab said on Wednesday that some opposition parties are exploiting the matter over the dismissal of Inspector General of the Sindh Police to their own benefit instead of following the Constitution in this case.
While speaking at a press conference at the Sindh Assembly building, Murtaza Wahab said: “the IGP Kaleem Imam has become  a controversial person and has become involved in politics that is a direct violation of the rules of service.”

He said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and its coalition partners in the center , the Grand Democratic Alliance, were doing politics on the removal of the IGP, adding “they’re busy with propaganda against the Sindh government.”
He said, “Sindh government had made no direct contact with the governor Imran Ismail to discuss the issue of IGP,” adding that “we would neither try to contact with the Sindh governor on the appointment of the new IGP, nor are we legally bound to do so.”
