LARKANA: A new case of poliovirus has been reported from the Rato Dero area on Thursday.
From this new case, the name of the poliovirus has risen to two this year. A 26-month-old infant named Waqar Brohi was affected by poliovirus.
This number of polio cases in Sindh has increased to 28 since the start of 2020. Moreover, on 25th January, a polio case was detected in a 3.5-year-old child in village Yousuf Jatt of Union Council Kothi in Sujawal.

Polio is a highly infectious disease caused by the polio virus mostly affecting children under the age of five. It invades the nervous system and causes paralysis or even death.
