Alina Amir viral video sparks uproar, TikToker finally breaks her silence

A new wave of viral posts targeting Pakistani social media personality Alina Amir, popularly known as the “Sarsarahat Girl,” has spread rapidly across X (formerly Twitter), Telegram, and Instagram. The posts use sensational headlines and misleading thumbnails claiming the existence of a “leaked private video,” luring users to click links that allegedly feature obscene content linked to the influencer.

Alina Amir has categorically denied the claims, saying that the circulating video is fake and was created using artificial intelligence to damage her reputation. Breaking her silence after a week of online speculation, Amir released a detailed video statement on Instagram addressing the controversy that has dominated social media discussions.

“I did not intend to address this matter publicly. For an entire week, I observed the situation quietly,” she said, adding that she felt compelled to speak after seeing hundreds of posts falsely claiming her video had been leaked.

Expressing concern over the unchecked spread of misinformation, Amir said it was “deeply disturbing” how easily false content goes viral without verification.

She urged social media users to take responsibility before sharing unverified material, stressing that spreading false information causes real and lasting harm.

The influencer also made a direct appeal to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, requesting strict legal action against individuals who create AI-generated illicit content targeting women. While calling for accountability, she praised law enforcement agencies for their ongoing efforts to tackle cybercrime.

Highlighting the broader impact of such abuse, Amir said that fabricated content affects not only celebrities but also private individuals, often leaving families traumatized. She acknowledged her family’s support but questioned how less-privileged women are expected to defend themselves against false digital accusations.

Amir announced a cash reward for information leading to the identification of the creator of the fake video, emphasizing the need for punishment to deter future offenses.

She described the issue as a defining challenge of the digital age, asserting that no woman should feel pressured to remain silent when facing falsehoods.

Alina Amir, who has 2.5 million followers on Instagram and 2.2 million on TikTok, rose to fame through a viral “Sarsarahat” video and has previously denied speculation about her personal relationships.
