Gold prices in Pakistan saw a notable decline on Wednesday, ending their recent upward trend with a drop of PKR 11,700 per tola, bringing the local market rate to PKR 352,000 per tola.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by PKR 10,031, now standing at PKR 301,783, according to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
This correction comes after a sharp increase on Tuesday, when gold surged by PKR 5,900 per tola to reach a record high of PKR 363,700.
On the international market, gold also experienced a downturn on Wednesday. Despite a daily decrease of $116, the global rate settled at $3,338 per ounce, inclusive of a $20 premium, as reported by the APGJSA.
Meanwhile, silver prices continued to rise, gaining PKR 16 and reaching PKR 3,457 per tola.
