After the fresh cache of military aid from the US, Donbass town came under deadly Ukrainian shelling that destroyed dozens of buildings and killed four people in Yasinovataya in Donetsk People’s Republic, RT reported quoting the head of DPR Denis Pushilin. Meanwhile, Russia has reiterated once again its position that the military shipments from the US-NATO to Ukraine would have severe consequences. But, certainly, these warnings are being unnoticed.
It seems that the war merchants are more interested in prolonging the Ukraine war. Perhaps, more than that such as spreading it to a larger region engaging more countries into it. Whereas most of the Ukrainian allies are fatigued. Even the key NATO partners have repeatedly shown their disinterest in further arms supplies.
Despite facing severe criticism from their economists, the US administration has yet to think rationally. Former US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers has warned that America is losing global influence as other powers form trading blocs. Top economist frets that the US is getting ‘lonely’. His opinion is much concerned that “Globalization and the American-led financial order are giving way to a more fragmented world economy in which other powers are aligning in trading blocs that diminish Washington’s global influence”.
Strangely, the US narrative on the Ukraine war is also being brushed away. It would be another devastating defeat for the US after all the huge military aid to Ukraine that has caused extreme destruction in Ukraine, wiping off 23 percent of the global food basket, and getting the entire world into historic inflation, energy and food crisis. On the other hand, the US-Western media is still telling the camouflaged stories about the “Russian offensive” in Ukraine. However, we need to understand the realities of the US-NATO presence in Ukraine and their objectives against Russia.
Russian authorities, even after hundreds of explanations, are surprised to see that the international media is unclear about the facts and the goals of their special military operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine. On the one hand, experienced Western political technologists have done everything to make the propaganda to blur these goals as much as possible. Russia is clear on the following five objectives of their “special military operation”.
Russia has demanded NATO should withdraw all military infrastructure to 1997 positions. (2) NATO should reverse the 2008 decision to include Ukraine and Georgia in the military bloc, and commit not to include any post-Soviet country in the enlargement. (3) NATO should abandon the US nuclear weapons in Europe and destroy all infrastructure to launch them. (4) NATO should refuse to send warships outside national waters so they do not have the ability to hit Russian territory. (5) NATO should not deploy intermediate-range and shorter-range missiles and refrain from flying heavy bombers outside national air borders, and should not conduct exercises practicing nuclear war scenarios.
They all seem reasonable demands after the US has fiddled around the ‘Revolution of Dignity’ in 2014 in Ukraine by toppling the Kremlin-leaning government there. After the cold war defeat, Russia has all the rationale to take necessary measures for its security and defense, and the Kremlin-leaning states. So, whatever Russia is doing at the moment to protect their like-minded parts in Ukraine shall not be surprising for anyone after what the US-NATO forces have done against the Russian stakes in Ukraine, and in the region. The US-NATO expansion plans are very irrational and causing armed conflicts in several regions. They are not only threats to the life and livelihood of the people there, but a bi threat to the global peace, security and food-baskets.
At the moment, Ukraine is nothing more than a training battleground for the US-NATO nations, but a land for biolabs that the US has admitted at the UN forums. So, the Ukrainians are not fighting to defend their country nor fighting for their independence, but for the US-NATO vested interests. A prosperous Ukraine is now an economic and military slave of the US-NATO while the world has lost 23 percent of the staple food too. Ukraine shall be fighting back to restore its original identity as an independent and prosperous state.
Recent US-NATO military shipments to Ukraine reflect the plans to stretch the conflict until absolute devastation of Ukraine. Consistent military support to Ukraine is most likely to engulf other nations too if not taken necessary measures for the negotiations between the parties, without having their allies on the table.
On April 10, 2023, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry criticized the deliveries of NATO weapons to Ukraine. The Belarusian Foreign Ministry predicted that uncontrolled supplies of NATO weapons to Ukraine could lead to the fact that they would soon fall into the hands of extremists in the Western countries. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Yuri Ambrazevich at the meeting of the UN Security Council. “Today, Belarus, which is in close proximity to the Ukrainian events, cannot but cause legitimate concern about the ongoing uncontrolled action of the NATO countries to increase the supply of weapons to Ukraine, as well as its direct consequence, namely the spread of weapons in the region and their falling into the hands of non-governmental and terrorist structures,” said Ambrazevich.
Earlier, Russia sent a note to NATO countries over arms supplies to Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the USA and NATO were directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine, “including not only by supplying weapons, but also by training personnel in the territory of Great Britain, Germany, Italy and other countries.”
At the same time, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenski, during his visit to Warsaw, was given a “last chance” by Polish leader Andrzej Duda to carry out a counteroffensive. If it fails, the western part of the country could be ceded to its neighbors. The politician was forced to take such a step by failures on the front and too much financial infusion into Ukraine by the West, which never received any benefit or profit.
“Knowing in advance that the declared counteroffensive is doomed to failure, and the US pressure will only intensify, Zelensky made the right decision to return to the subject stated at his first meeting with Andrzej Duda, and return the western part of Ukraine to Poland. He will again offer Polish businesses to buy the largest Ukrainian enterprises in exchange for repayment of the external state debt of Ukraine,” believes Marek Gala, author of the Internet portal Niezależny Dziennik Polityczny.
