ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has urged upon bureaucrats, who are involved in May 25 actions, have recently been transferred and posted by caretaker Naqvi government in Punjab, to step aside and don’t act as someone loyal to any party.

The Punjab administration under the leadership of PMLN leader Hamza Shehbaz had resorted to some of the brutal violence, all recorded on camera, on May 25 when PTI had announced Long March towards Islamabad last year.

Several incidents of police jumping inside homes of PTI workers and supporters a night before May 25 were recorded on camera, while the administration appeared hell bent upon quelling the Long March movement.

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Fawad Chaudhry addressed bureaucrats who were involved in all these May 25 events and who had recently been re-appointed at different places by caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, to dissociate themselves from Punjab. He alleged that these bureaucrats had been brought again to previous posts for the purpose of rigging, adding that instead of serving as loyalists of a political party, the civil servants should honor their oath with the state.

Fawad Chaudhry said “it is inappropriate for civil servants to prove themselves as loyalist of any political party instead of honoring the oath they have taken with the state.”
